Looking towards Loch Sligachan on descent from Glamaig.  Showers meant superb light and rainbows.

Glamaig.  In 1899 Ghurka Harkabir Thapa ran from the Sligachan to the summit and back again in 1hr 10 min.  McCloud of McCloud (what a name!) didn’t believe it so asked him to repeat it.  He did it in 55 minutes – BAREFOOT.  Today’s modern athletes have only managed to trim 11 minutes off his time and they wear trainers.
